We are a feminist women’s rights and relief organisation and we see ourselves as part of the diverse international women's movement.
On 4 April 1993 Medica Zenica takes up its work with the inauguration of a project house. In the first year, about 4,000 Bosnian women receive general medical, gynaecological and psychological care.
In October 2008, Monika Hauser is awarded the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the 'Alternative Nobel Prize'.
