Women working in projects on site
Around 130 staff members currently work in our projects abroad, including ten men working as drivers and guards. Our psychologists, therapists, social workers and lawyers are usually local experts. They grew up in the same culture as their clients and know and understand the women’s worries and problems – sometimes even sharing the same experiences.
Head office staff
27 staff members with different professional backgrounds currently work at the head office of medica mondiale. They organise and manage the establishment of therapy and counselling centres for women in crisis zones, advise the local staff on project management issues and verify the proper use of the funds. Furthermore, they inform people in Germany about the situation of women in war and crisis zones and take care of donors.
Management
medica mondiale’s management is made up of two executive directors. They manage and represent the organisation. Monika Hauser is a board member at the same time.
