Donations
Our work is nourished by the commitment and the donations of many people in Germany and other countries. Without this support, we would be unable to help women in war and crisis zones. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, 25 euros are sufficient for a life-saving operation, in Afghanistan, 50 euros pay for three months of psychosocial care for a raped woman, 100 euros buy a war widow a cow as a basis for her work as a farmer. The list of tasks is long – every euro, every donation is a building block for the future.
You decide where your donation goes
You decide where you want your donation to go – to your preferred project as an earmarked donation or, as an unspecified donation, where it is needed most. An unspecified donation allows us to rapidly respond to current challenges – for example if an organisation asks for our urgent help in an acute conflict. Earmarked donations are guaranteed to be channelled to the designated project.
There are different ways of making a donation to medica mondiale: via bank transfer or via credit card.

Donations via bank transfer
For bank transfers from other EU countries the same fees are payable as for domestic transfers (as of 1.7.2003), provided that the international account number (IBAN) and the Bank Identifier Code (BIC) are indicated.

Notes on how to fill out an EU bank transfer form
- The special forms provided by banks for bank transfers within the EU must be used.
- The currency must be indicated in €; currently transfers of this kind are authorised up to a maximum sum of 12,500 €.
- The transfer form must include the first name and last name, company if appropriate, together with the IBAN and BIC of the recipient.
If forms are not filled out correctly, expensive bank fees may be payable!
