Die Journalistin und PR-Fachfrau arbeitet seit Juni 2007 bei medica mondiale als Referentin für Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Sie sorgt dafür, dass die Berichte und Neuigkeiten aus den Projekten von medica mondiale ihren Weg zu den SpenderInnen und den Medien finden. Sie betreut das Magazin m-journal und den Jahresbericht m-spezial , schreibt Pressemitteilungen, organisiert Veranstaltungen und aktualisiert die Informationen auf der Homepage.

Erfahrungen hat Britta Amorin vor ihrem Einsatz für medica mondiale bei verschiedenen gemeinnützigen Organisationen gesammelt, so in der humanitären Hilfe, im Zivilen Friedensdienst und im Entwicklungsdienst in Bolivien.

Mandy Bauer

Die staatlich geprüfte Betriebswirtin und Eventmanagerin fand ihren Weg zu medica mondiale über ihr ehrenamtliches Engagement und ein mehrmonatiges Praktikum. Seit Oktober 2004 ist sie als Assistentin in den Bereichen Marketing und Kommunikation tätig.

„Am liebsten organisiere und kommuniziere ich“, sagt sie über sich selbst. Und da ist sie genau an der richtigen Stelle, denn ihre Hauptaufgabe ist es, unsere medica mondiale-Aktionsgruppen aufzubauen und deren Aktivitäten zu betreuen. Neue InteressentInnen empfängt sie stets mit Begeisterung!

Darüber hinaus laufen bei ihr aber auch die Fäden für verschiedene andere Aktionen und Aktivitäten zusammen, so zum Beispiel die Koordination der Vortragsplanung. Erholung findet die Wahl-Kölnerin bei Spieleabenden mit Freunden, Kinobesuchen und ihrer Vorliebe zur Literatur – mit Schwerpunkt Fantasy...

Anna Biermann

Anna Biermann has been medica mondiale Executive Director, together with Monika Hauser, since 1999. Prior to this she spent a number of years researching, establishing, organizing and developing feminist projects in Germany, England, the USA and Mexico. She coordinates and monitors medica mondiale's finances, staff and administration at Cologne, whilst coordinating links between all medica mondiale's projects and keeping the general overview of the projects in mind. She works together with the Fundraising, PR and Lobbying departments, and is the link between the organisation and the public, including politicians, with a particular focus on donors.

Selmin Çalışkan

Seit Oktober 2003 ist Selmin Çalışkan bei medica mondiale Referentin für Politik und Frauenrechte. Die Aufgabe der ausgebildeten Diplom-Übersetzerin ist es, sich dem medica mondiale-gemäßen Satzungsauftrag entsprechend national wie international für die Menschenrechte kriegstraumatisierter Frauen und Mädchen einzusetzen. Çalışkans vielfältige Berufserfahrung reicht von der Arbeit in den Bereichen Bildung, Beratung und Gesundheit bis zu feministischer MigrantInnenarbeit. Die politische Arbeit bei medica mondiale ist für sie "das, wo ich immer schon hin wollte!"

Sybille Fezer

Ms. Fezer, a journalist with a background in social pedagogy, has worked in the Cologne office since October 2001 as project leader in the International Projects department. She pulls together all the threads of the Medica Kosova and medica mondiale Tirana projects. Her work includes staying in touch with staff and trainers on the spot, coordinating seminars and planning meetings for project development, maintaining a focus on project goals and activities, together with drawing up applications for funding and budget oversight. For a number of years Sybille Fezer worked with social projects in poor neighbourhoods in Brazil, where she acquired project experience. She sees herself as a "bridge" between project staff and medica mondiale in Cologne.

Martina Grantz

Martina Grantz, a qualified business economist, has worked as a fundraiser for medica mondiale since August 1998 and is in charge of all donations-related issues. Her responsibilities include contacts with donors, devising and implementing campaigns to encourage donations and gaining medica mondiale new supporters, sponsors and business cooperation partners. She draws on all her creativity and management know-how for medica mondiale in this work. And, last but not least, she feeds and takes care of Nunca, our office dog.

Bele Grau

Seit 2004 gehört Bele Grau zum Team von medica mondiale. Die Sozialpädagogin (mit Aufbaustudium Afrikanologie) arbeitete zunächst als Projektassistentin in der Auslandsabteilung und übernahm im Dezember 2005 die Leitung des Afghanistan-Programms. Ihre zentralen Aufgaben sind die Kommunikation mit den Kolleginnen in Afghanistan, die Steuerung der Projektentwicklung und vor allem die Begleitung der afghanischen Mitarbeiterinnen beim Aufbau einer eigenständigen afghanischen Frauenorganisation vor Ort..

Karin Griese

Sociologist Karin Griese has been working on quality standards for work with women and girls traumatized by war since August 2000. Her current activities include devising a manual for medica mondiale's particular approach to women-specific trauma work, together with a further training concept for work with women traumatized by war. Her responsibilities also include organising seminars, workshops and presentations on this topic. Karin Griese gained the experience needed for her post in various spheres of women's studies and in women's health projects.

Birgit Groth

As office manager Birgit Groth, who is a trained lab technician and ethnographer, has been the self-possessed public face of the organisation at the heart of the head office since April 2000. Birgit Groth organized the Carl-Duisberg-Gesellschaft's professional further training visits for foreign experts for ten years and subsequently worked for several years as Liaison Officer for an aid organization in Zambia. (Almost) nothing can unsettle this cosmopolitan woman. She organizes all travel for staff, not just from Cologne, but also from Bosnia, Kosova or Albania and is always the first to know which airline flies from Tirana to Kabul.

Susanne Jahn

Seit April 2007 gehört die Sozialpädagogin und Industriekauffrau zum Team von medica mondiale. Als Assistentin der politischen Geschäftsführerin umfasst ihr neues Aufgabengebiet hauptsächlich die vielfältigen Seiten von Administration und Koordination und nicht zuletzt die tatkräftige Entlastung und Unterstützung. Die Erfahrung dazu bringt sie u.a. aus zehn Jahren Verwaltungsarbeit in einem großen Kinder- und Jugendverband und einem lebendigen Interesse für feministische Lebensthemen mit.
Als Ausgleich zur Büroarbeit joggt sie im Kölner Grüngürtel (oft) oder wandert in den Alpen (nicht so oft). Außerdem liebt sie das Abtauchen im Kino und singt gern.

Katrin Konradt

Die Verwaltungswirtin arbeitet seit Mai 2003 als Assistentin der Geschäftsführung bei medica mondiale. Ob PC-Wartung, Terminkoordination, Praktikantinnen- und Ehrenamtlichenbetreuung, die Organisation von Meetings, Optimierungsprozessen in der Organisationsentwicklung – Katrin Konradt ist unser „Best Girl“ für all diese Fälle. Sie arbeitete vorher in verschiedenen Bereichen der Bundesagentur für Arbeit – hauptsächlich als Koordinatorin für Internationale Vermittlungsabsprachen. Die gebürtige Rostockerin mit einem großen Herz für das Rheinische lebt in Bonn und zählt zu ihren Hobbies Improvisationstanz, das Lesen dicker Romane, das Meer und die Schweizer Berge. Mit ihrem Geburtsjahr 1976 stellt sie das jüngste Mitglied der medica mondiale-Belegschaft dar.

Elke Schell-Fischer

In August 1993 she was the first employee of the newly founded association, working as financial accountant. Elke Schell-Fischer, who is a qualified industrial clerk, had extensive experience of accounting, finance and administration in small businesses before joining our team. Her work with medica mondiale includes financial and human resources administration, alongside classical accounting. Of course, as the organization grew, Elke Schell Fischer's responsibilities also increased and she is now assisted by several colleagues.

Margrit Spindeler

Margrit Spindeler traveled to Bosnia in 1993 to support women there and met Monika Hauser and Kirsten Wienberg on that trip. Parallel to her job in a software company, her volunteer work included involvement in projects in Kurdistan and Latin America. In 1999 she decided to turn her volunteer commitments into her profession and joined medica mondiale to help develop the medica mondiale Kosova and medica mondiale Tirana projects. She now works mainly on training staff in coordinating project and conflict management in Gjakova/Kosova.

Kirsten Wienberg

Project manager Kirsten Wienberg is a "pioneering woman". As early as 1993 she was already organizing aid convoys with medicine, material and people, working on logistics and as the "contact person on the spot" in Croatia and Bosnia and getting the convoys through the frontlines to Medica Zenica. In 1995 Wienberg, who's from northern Germany, went to Zenica for medica mondiale and together with other women was in charge of the women's therapy centre there as project manager until early 1997. In 1999 Kirsten Wienberg travelled to another crisis zone with Monika Hauser - Albania. There the two women did the groundwork to set up medica mondiale Kosova and medica mondiale Tirana. As project manager she's now busy in the Cologne office dealing with new concepts for projects abroad and continues to work with Medica Zenica.

Nunca Grantz-Zerr

Since summer 2000 Nunca Grantz-Zerr has been a great help to her adoptive mother, Martina Grantz, in the office. This Spanish lady is mainly busy eating, getting her daily dose of stroking or scratching at closed doors. This part-time office dog's confiding approach won the hearts of all the staff in record time and her laidback style keeps day-to-day life in the office nice and relaxed.
