medica mondiale offers women who have survived sexual violence a chance to heal their traumatised psyche. Our activities include counselling plus psychological and medical support.

Successful help for traumatised women must be long-term and holistic. We offer this long-term support – but it's only possible thanks to your donations.

Helping women to help themselves: The Cologne-based aid organisation, medica mondiale, set up by gynaecologist Monika Hauser (centre), provides psychotraumatology training for female medical staff in war and crisis zones.
